I guess it only tends to snow on holidays around here, as we got our first significant snowfall on Thanksgiving and then it didn’t snow again until Christmas. With the North Shore blanketed once again in white, the holiday cheer is continuing into the new year. So, if you’re still on winter break and looking for something to do then check out some of Tahoe’s hot spots:
Play Trivia (Tuesdays) or Bingo (Thursdays) at Alibi Ale Works
Need a reason to exercise your mind while you enjoy Incline Village’s finest brews? Well then, grab a group of friends and head on over to Alibi on 204 E Enterprise Street and join in on a fun game of trivia on Tuesdays to win some great prizes (you’ll be surprised at what you and your friends recall) or try to beat the odds at Thursday’s Bingo & Beers event. Both events start at 7pm and go all winter long. www.alibialeworks.com.
Jan. 4 and Jan. 18: Friday Night Music at the Plaza Bar in Squaw Valley
After getting some powder turns in at Squaw Valley, boogie on down to some live music in the Plaza Bar in the Village. On January 4 from 2pm-6pm, Chi McLean will be playing sharing some ski surf acoustic vibes followed by Spanish guitar and vocal duo Lucas and Darcy on January 18. For more information, visit the Plaza Bar’s webpage.

Jan. 12: Wigs and Onesies Party at the Tahoe Biltmore
Unleash your inner gaper by showing off your worst dance moves at the Wigs and Onesies Party with music producers and DJs including Flavours, Balkan Bump, Zebuel, and Rambo. The bigger the wig, the better your groove and the most ridiculous onesies are more than welcomed. The party kicks off at 9pm and the cost is $20 at the door.
Jan. 19: Get S’more Saturdays in Kings Beach
From 3pm-6pm on January 19, visit the shops on the Kings Beach main drag and then head to Las Panchitas to warm up with s’mores, fire pits, and heaters along with the chance to win some prizes. All participating businesses will be offering complimentary beverages, snacks, and you have the chance to see artist demos, live music, and more.
