After a crazy winter of snow, rain, and everything in between, the sun is finally starting to come out in Sparks, and with it the birds, flowers, green grass, and fun events! At the end of March, hundreds of people and Nevada congressmen and women gathered at the Sparks Marina to celebrate the groundbreaking of the Veterans Memorial. This statewide monument will recognize and remember more than 890 Nevada service men and women who have given their lives for our freedom. So, while you’re participating in an event or enjoying the day at the Sparks Marina, stop by the west end of the park and check out the details about the project.
Here are some other reasons to get out and about in Sparks this spring:

Real World Canine is inviting local furry four-legged friends to the next Community Pack Walk to be held on April 6 at 10am at the Sparks Marina. Meet at the gazebos, grab some coffee, and walk with fellow dog lovers on a 2-mile loop around the park, receiving some obedience tips along the way.
