Christmas is almost here, and Elko has plenty of great Christmas events to see. Here are a few of the best in the area to take in:
Pioneer Christmas
Annual Snowflake Festival
Head to downtown Elko for the 2019 Snowflake Festival’s Candyland Christmas! Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 12 PM – 6 PM PST Visit Santa’s Work Shop at Dalling Hall for fun activities & pictures with jolly old St. Nick, buy a cookie tin and participate in the family friendly “Cookie Crawl,” enjoy hot cocoa at the “Cocoa Cottage,” follow the Candyland path to experience fun, entertaining & interactive events in a multitude of downtown businesses, and oh so much more!

Exhibits at the Museum
The Northeastern Nevada Museum has two new photo exhibits going up in conjunction with the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering.
Open Range
This collection features many images of cowboys in Northeastern Nevada from the 1970s to today. This show is in the Halleck Bar Gallery until February 9, 2020.
The Forgotten Cowboys
This show is a photography exhibition by London-based photographer John Ferguson. He became interested in the African American cowboy as a youth and has spent time photographing in the American South and southwestern states. On view in the Barrick Gallery until February 2, 2020.
